Funeral Services for Mrs. Becky Cooper will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 2,2020, at the New Hebron Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper, age 66, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at her residence in New Hebron. Reverend Mike Grenn will officiate and interment will be at the Westrope Family Cemetery in Hazelhurst. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Chris Bryan, Erik Bryan, Anthony Walker, Gage Haynes, Jesse Morgan, and Sam Morgan. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Kirby, Justin Walker, Jack Gurley, and Trace Cooper. Rebecca Ann Stephens Cooper was born on June 7, 1954, in Prentiss to Edward and Laurene Haley Stephens. Mrs. Cooper was a housewife and a member of New Hebron Baptist Church. She was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Edward Stephens, and a grandson, Trevor Cooper. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Mike Cooper of New Hebron; 1 daughter, Jennifer Gurley (Steve) of Sumrall; 1 son, Michael Cooper, Jr. (Angela) of Wesson; her mother, Laurene Stephens of New Hebron; 6 grandchildren, Jack Gurley, Chloe Cooper, Mara Pickering, Emma Gurley, and Trace Cooper; 1 great-grandson, Maddox Haynes; 5 sisters, Elaine Stephens, Janice Kirby, Kathleen Sharp, Linda Kaye White, and Billie Jean Morgan; 3 brothers, Bo Stephens, Johnny Stephens, and Boog Stephens; as well as a host of neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the New Hebron Baptist Church. Everyone attending the visitation and service are asked to follow the Mississippi Department of Health recommendations of face masks and distancing.
