Reese A. McRaney

Funeral services for Mr. Reese McRaney will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the New Hebron United Pentecostal Church in New Hebron. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Cliff Hilton and Reverend Bob Jones will officiate. Mr. McRaney, age 78, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Reese Aubrey McRaney was born on November 27, 1943, in Laurel, MS to Eddie and Lucille Holly McRaney. Reese spent the majority of his professional life as an international and domestic oil man. In addition, he was a world traveler, avid fisherman and cattleman in his spare time. Reese and his wife, Brenda were members of the New Hebron United Pentecostal Church, where they served the Lord for many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed visiting and spending time with his grandchildren, working the family land as well as hunting and fishing. Reese was a loving husband, father, and friend, and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Lucille McRaney, his wife, Brenda Bridges McRaney, his son, Eddie McRaney; sisters, Betty McRaney and Annie Bell Smith and also a brother, Gerald McRaney. Reese's memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Michelle Jones (Bart) of Hattiesburg; his son, Shane McRaney (Kim) of New Hebron; 3 granddaughters, Allie Mayers, Sophia McRaney and Mattie McRaney, a step-granddaughter, Katie Thompson and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2022, from 2:00 PM until the hour of service at 3:00 PM at New Hebron United Pentecostal Church.
