Graveside services for Mrs. Ruby Lee Benson will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Oakvale Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Mrs. Benson, age 101, passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in Sumrall. The Reverend Dr. French W. Tripp will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ruby Lee Warren Benson was born on April 1, 1919, in Mt. Olive to Johnson Wiley Warren and Willie McClendon Warren. Mrs. Benson was a retired nurse's aide for the Jefferson Davis Extended Care Facility. She was a member of the Prentiss Presbyterian Church. Ruby Lee Benson was preceded in death by her mother and father; 3 husbands, Harold Little, Buster Calhoun, and Earl Benson; 1 son, Jerry Little; 2 brothers, J.L. Warren and Hugh Warren; 3 sisters, Alice Bailey, Nell Harmon, and Jean Brown; 1 granddaughter, Sherry Batte; and 1 grandson, Rob Little. Mrs. Benson is survived by 2 sons, Bobby Little (Patsy) of Florence and Wayne Calhoun (Danvis) of Collins; 1 daughter, Betty Batte (Buddy) of Mt. Olive; 4 step-children, Earl Benson, Cindy Hawthorne, Belinda Owens and Angie Gray; 10 grandchildren, Shane, Nan, Ricky, Gerald, James, Joe, Jeff, Rhonda, Kim Anne and Josh; a host of great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
