Graveside services for Mrs. Ruby Daley of Petal, formerly of Carson, will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday morning, September 19, 2025, at St. James Cemetery in Bassfield. Father Tomasz Golab will officiate. Mrs. Daley, age 82, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, beginning at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
Ruby F. Daley was born on August 18, 1943, in Stockman, Texas, to Aubrey D. and Claudine Haywood Moore. Ruby, a devoted homemaker, spent many years in Texas before returning to Jefferson Davis County with her late husband, Tommy, to cherish their retirement together. Known for her selflessness and her ability to prioritize the needs of others, Ruby had a profound impact on the lives of those around her. She embraced individuals regardless of where they found themselves in life, demonstrating an unwavering capacity for love and understanding.
Her family and friends will hold dear, treasured memories of Ruby's kindness and her non-judgmental spirit. A lover of nature, Ruby also enjoyed leisurely strolls, relishing in the beauty of God's creation. Furthermore, she was an avid reader who found joy in immersing herself in mystery and romance novels, where she explored new worlds and experiences through the pages of her favorite books.
Ruby was a cherished member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Her legacy of love, acceptance, and a genuine appreciation for life will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Claudine Moore; her husband, Tommy; her son and infant son, Gregory Wayne and Thomas Anthony; and her infant grandson, Evan Keith.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Cheryl Daley of Petal; son, Michael Daley of Texas; and her sisters, Ann Nelson of Seabrook, TX, Elaine McKinney of Clear Lake, TX, Kathy Richards of Stockman, TX, and Debbie Moore of Timpson, TX. The legacy of their Mawmaw will also live on through her grandchildren, Kale, Kayla, Drew, Mekenzie, and Keith, along with 4 great-grandchildren.
