Stuart Glenn Kruger

Funeral services for Mr. Stuart G. Kruger will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 2, 2019, at the Prentiss Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kruger, 56, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his residence in Ridgeland.  Dr. F. W. Tripp will officiate. Interment will follow in the Prentiss Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Stephen Paul Kruger, Jr., Edward Andrew Kruger, Peter Glenn Kruger, Philip Wade Kruger, James Edward Baxter Kruger, Jonathan Bradley Mitchell, Patric Dayton Mitchell and James Daniel Williamson. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Stuart Glenn Kruger was born on January 6, 1963, in Prentiss, to Donald Glenn Kruger and Betty Williams Farr Kruger. He was a 1981 graduate Prentiss Christian School and a 1985 graduate of the University of Mississippi.  While at Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity where he was chosen as model pledge and served as vice-president and historian. He was the executive director of the Student Programming Board and inducted into the University of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 1985. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1988. He was a practicing attorney in Jackson and was a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Throughout his legal career, he was recognized for numerous national and regional awards, including president of the Capitol Area Bar Association where he was awarded for his outstanding service to the association. While serving his community, he was chosen for Leadership Mississippi, was a lecturer and clinical instructor at Mississippi College School of Law and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and served as board president of Willowood Developmental Center and the Gavel Society. Mr. Kruger is survived by one son, Robert Wilson Kruger; one granddaughter, Bentley Christine Kruger of Pearl; two brothers, Stephen Paul Kruger (Phoebe) of Jackson and Charles Baxter Kruger (Beth) of Brandon; one sister, Holley Kruger Cochran of Prentiss, one uncle, Paul Hollis Farr, Jr. (Carolyn) of Brandon and cousins Paul Kervin Farr (Angela) of Wellington, New Zealand and Phaedra Farr Hailey (B.J.) of Brandon. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Williams Farr Kruger and Donald Glenn Kruger, and niece, Caroline Williams Kruger.
