Velma C. Blackwell

Graveside services for Mrs. Velma C. Blackwell will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, February 25, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Carson. Reverend Pete Bennett will officiate. Mrs. Blackwell, age 72, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Velma C. Blackwell was born on November 3, 1949, in Deridder, Louisiana to Gene and Minnie Bullard. Mrs. Blackwell spent many years working for Jitney Jungle Grocery Store and WalMart. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Carson. She is survived by her husband, Charles Blackwell; her son, Steve Bullard (Renea); 3 daughters, Shelia Denise Bose, Melanie Blackwell, Angela Blackwell; 2 sisters, Patty Stroud and Cindy May. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Sarah, Caleb and Colin. Visitation will be Friday morning, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
