Virginia Ann Alexander was born on April 11, 1949 in Seminary, Mississippi to Lawrence Nathaniel and Connie Mae Dixon Whitehead.  Although primarily focused on being a homemaker, Virginia also pursued an education in carpentry at Hinds Community College. She had a passion for woodworking and also enjoyed working in her flowers; yellow roses and magnolias being among her favorites.
Throughout Virginia’s life, she found joy in bringing her loved ones together and the love she had for her family was often centered around her bountiful table.  Her delicious banana pudding, made from scratch, was always a highlight of family gatherings and her spaghetti and potato salad were second to none and will be remembered for years to come.

Virginia's involvement in the First United Pentecostal Church of Pearl was an important part of her life when she lived there in former years. She wholeheartedly embraced her role as a Sunday School teacher, nurturing the hearts and minds of the babies left in her care.  Additionally, she served as a youth leader and played a vital role in guiding the younger generation towards faith and compassion.  A true lover of nature's beauty, Virginia found solace in tending to her flowers; among her favorites were yellow roses and magnolias.  Admiring their vibrant colors brought joy to her soul and provided moments of tranquility amidst life's challenges.
Above all else, Virginia's love for her children was immeasurable. She cherished their presence in her life and poured every ounce of herself into their happiness and well-being. Her love knew no bounds, and she often went above and beyond to ensure they had everything they needed.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander is preceded in death by her brothers, J.C. West, Lennis Whitehead, Clarence Whitehead, Billy Ray Whitehead, Charles Martin Whitehead, Virgil David Whitehead and her sister, Eunice Merle Horn.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 55 years, Ronnie Alexander of Pinola; daughters, Loretta Alexander of Pinola, Pamela Michelle Alexander of Pinola, Connie (Roy) Clark of New Hebron; sons, Thomas Doyle Alexander of Sterling, VA, Joseph Keith (Lizette) Alexander of Tampa, FL and her sisters, Elsie Saulters of Prentiss and Linda King of Pearl.  The memory of their Mawmaw will also live on through her 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 expected  great-grandbabies
