Wesley Harden Berry was born on October 26, 1961, in Homestead, FL, to Kayron Jones and Betty Harden Berry.

After graduating from Prentiss High School, Wesley began his career at Polk's Meat Company. His dedication and hard work allowed him to witness the company's growth during its early stages. Subsequently, he embarked on a ten-year journey as a salesman at Hallmark Toyota where he formed many lasting friendships.  Known for his gift of gab, people were irresistibly drawn to Wesley because of his genuine nature and unwavering loyalty as a true friend.

However, Wesley's true passion lied in the kitchen and behind the grill. The culinary arts became his sanctuary and a means through which he could create moments of joy for others. He honed his cooking skills during his time at the Country Fisherman, where he gained invaluable knowledge and expertise. Eventually, he realized his dream by opening his own establishment - the Berry Hollow restaurant. There he delighted friends with his mouthwatering BBQ and other dishes, showcasing his own special sauce that became renowned throughout the community.

In the last year and a half before his passing, Wesley dedicated himself to working alongside special friends, serving others at the Tackle Box Restaurant in Prentiss. He took immense pride in preparing delicious meals that brought smiles upon people's faces. It was here that he continued to leave an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Wesley not only excelled in his professional endeavors but also treasured special moments spent with those closest to him. His daughter Magan held an extraordinary place in his heart, and together they forged unforgettable memories while fishing at Uncle Henry's pond or attending country music concerts.  Having a love for music from an early age, his family warmly recalls that one of his most prized possessions while in high school was his stereo.  A true fan of music, he knew all of the artists from the 70s and 80s.

Wesley was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents as well as his father, Kayron Berry; his brother, Greg Berry and his brother-in-law, Mike Greenhill.

His memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Magan Berry Carter of Improve; his mother, Betty Berry of Prentiss; brothers, Scott (Angel) Berry of Nashville, TN, B J (Jennifer) Berry of Prentiss; his sister, Debbie Greenhill of Madison and his sister-in-law, Melissa (the late Greg) Berry of Prentiss.  The legacy of their Poppy will also live on through his 4 granddaughters, Kylie, Kaydance, Kinsleigh and Keagan Carter.

Throughout his life journey, Wesley Harden Berry has impacted countless lives with his infectious laughter, loving spirit, and passion for connecting with others. He will always be remembered as a man who not only prepared delectable meals but also nourished the souls of those around him.
