Neal Speights

Funeral services for Mr. Neal Speights will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ron Jordan will officiate, assisted by Rev. Larry Eickenloff. Interment will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Foxworth, MS. Mr. Speights, age 60, passed away Thursday evening, May 8, 2025, at his home in Foxworth, surrounded by his family. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Mr. Speights will be carried to his final resting place by those honored to serve as pallbearers. They include Todd Lowe, Shane Carney, Greg Price, Timothy Bracey, Jayden Bracey, Andrew May, Craig Dungan, and Kenny Speed.

Robert Neal Speights was born on October 22, 1964, in Jefferson Davis County to Redgie Dale and Willie Worthy Speights. He grew up in Carson and graduated from Bassfield High School. He spent his youth helping his father and uncles on the family farm, a task that he immensely enjoyed. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He made many memories on the weekends fishing in his grandfather's pond. He and his wife of 35 years, Polly, owned and operated a chicken farm in the Darbun community of Marion County. When time permitted them to be away from the farm, he enjoyed traveling, especially to the Great Smoky Mountains and the Gulf Coast beaches of Mississippi and Florida. One of his favorite fall activities was attending the Franklinton Fair in Franklinton, LA. Mr. Speights was a faithful member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Foxworth.

Mr. Speights is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lewis Claude Dungan, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Polly Speights; stepdaughter Cindy Stewart Lowe (Todd) of Foxworth; brother Jon Randall Speights (Teresa) of Carson; sister Regina Speights McNease, also of Carson; one grandson, Shane Carney (Kayla) stationed in Savannah GA.; and two great-grandchildren, Simon and Samuel Carney.
